Diets
People ask me about diets. You who are a doctor, you who do yoga and stuff... what do you think one should eat? How many eggs can I eat a week? Do you eat meat? Do you eat vegetarian?
In my point of view, the answer is that there is no answer.
Yes, I currently eat meat a couple of times a month. I have eaten it every day, and have stopped eating it altogether. And those changes will continue as long as they make sense. I've eaten eggs every day and I've stopped eating eggs, I go through weeks when I eat a lot and weeks when I don't.
What do I think one should eat?
As natural as possible... food in its essence. And with interesting mixtures to stimulate the palate. And about all the rest, it depends. It depends on the person's condition, their environment, their work, what they want to achieve, and most importantly, how they feel when they eat what they eat.
For me the basis is to eat mostly vegetables and every day, enough fruits, and if they are fresh and naturally ripened. Eggs, fish and meat, depends on how I'm doing and how much energy I'm spending. I eat, but the frequency and quantity varies a lot. I've realized from several experiences over the years that wheat and dairy products are bad for me, so I don't eat them. I like it better when I feel really good. Very important is where the food comes from. I don't do it regularly now because I haven't been organized enough (it hasn't been a priority), but I definitely feel much better when I fill the house with fresh vegetables from the market, especially bought from growers I feel connected to. Food is life.
But this is for me. I believe that there are many healthy diets. As long as they make sense to each person, are consistent and aligned with physical and emotional well-being.
And for you?
